Meet Belgian Brand Maison Ullens
I first discovered the Belgian brand Maison Ullens in Aspen four years ago, when I stumbled upon their beautiful store in the center of town on E Hopkins Avenue. I was initially drawn to the brand after walking inside the store and feeling all of the tactile fabrics, beautifully displayed on carefully curated racks along the perimeter of the space. The story behind Maison Ullens is what then captured me.
Maison Ullens was launched over a decade ago, since its foundation by Baroness Myriam Ullens de Schooten, also known as Mimi. Ullens was inspired to create a collection that would service her active lifestyle traveling with her husband, Guy between the orphanages and schools they founded in Nepal, and the many duties related to their significant philanthropic activities in both medicine and art across the world.
Maison Ullens is wholly inspired by Ullens travels and charitable endeavors; a means to share those experiences through beautiful pieces brought to life.
Currently helmed by creative consultant Haider Ackermann, Maison Ullens is designed for busy travel-loving women who appreciate ethical, high-quality timeless luxury fashion.
From the buttery soft lambskin, hand-spun cashmere, sumptuous knits, to the super warm shearling, all pieces are made with the highest quality fabrics in Europe, intended for those with active lifestyles who desire stylish yet effortless pieces which they can take and wear all over the world. Each item in the Maison Ullens collection is refined and elegant, an investment one can keep forever. Many designs are reversible, which make them the perfect companions for travel.
You can shop the collection in store in Aspen, NYC, and Paris, or on their website.
