Rosewood Miramar Beach

If you’re searching for a luxurious escape just a stone’s throw from Los Angeles, look no further than the Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito. This stunning resort has become my go-to getaway, a perfect blend of relaxation and airy casual elegance that keeps me coming back for more.

The drive to Montecito from Los Angeles is quite scenic, taking only 90 minutes along the beautiful Southern California coastline. As I drive, I can feel the stress of the week melting away. There is something about the fresh air and energy in Montecito that immediately makes me feel at peace.

Each room at Rosewood Miramar Beach feels like a personal retreat, featuring plush, comfortable decor and expansive windows that showcase either views of the Pacific Ocean or the lush gardens on the property. It’s a joy to settle in, perhaps with a glass of wine by the fire pit, and soak in the stunning surroundings—especially as the sun begins to set.

One of my favorite parts of visiting is dining at Caruso’s, the resort’s Michelin-starred restaurant. Led by Chef Massimo Falsini, Caruso’s features a prix fixe menu that highlights California-inspired Italian dishes. The restaurant utilizes fresh, seasonal locally-sourced ingredients, showcasing the best of both cuisines. From handmade pasta to the fresh catch of the day, a meal at Caruso’s will be unforgettable.

For those in need of relaxation, the resort’s spa is not to be missed. I love treating myself to a rejuvenating massage after a busy week. It’s the perfect way to recharge.

Two pools and a beach with a concierge make staying put with a book and a cocktail all too easy. For the more adventurous, the resort offers water sports that add a bit of excitement to the day, like surfing, whale watching and kayaking.

One of the charms of Montecito is the chance to explore the quaint downtown area. I like to hop on a bicycle, courtesy of the hotel, and spend a day wandering around the local boutiques, art galleries, and amazing restaurants.

Rosewood Miramar Beach is a place where you can truly escape and recharge. With its natural beauty, well appointed rooms and suites, and incredible dining, it’s no wonder I find myself returning time and time again. Each visit is a reminder of how special this coastal paradise truly is.
